Violinist YANG IN-MO (c)Kumho Cultural_Foundation YANG IN-MO, the most notable young violinist in Korea these days, has delivered good news from Helsinki. The Kumho Cultural Foundation reported that YANG IN-MO topped the 12nd International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, which closed in Helsinki, Finland on May 29. Violinist YANG IN-MO is a former Kumho Youngjae and was a resident musician at Kumho Art Hall in 2018. Along with the No. 1 trophy, YANG IN-MO also won the Best Interpretation of Modern Works. YANG INMO will receive 30,000 euros (37.6 million won) in prize money and 2,000 euros (22.5 million won) in prize money for the special prize. There are more benefits to YANG IN-MO. YANG IN-MO can be coached by conductor Sakari Oramo, the chairman of the competition, and violinist Pekka Kuusisto. He is given the opportunity to collaborate with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Osmo Vnnsk̈) and the Finnish Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Sakari Oramo)
