[K-MUSICAL] Musical ‘The Man Who Laughs’ Review - Park Hyo Shin of Elegant Sadness, Shin Young Sook of Mysteriousness

Image
Park Hyo Shin, the poster for the musical "The Man Who Laughs" (photo courtesy of EMK Musical Company) It is said that a smile brings good luck. There is also a saying by a famous Korean comedian. Blessings do not make you laugh. Blessings come when you smile. Here, there's a man. He's always smiling. He's never stopped smiling. He laughed when he was happy, of course sad, and even when he was sick, his intestines were pouring out. So he is The Man Who Laughs. But his life didn't smile like his face. He laughed but was crying inside. This story, the musical "The Man Who Laughs," asks the audience a heavy question like lead. Why did God give this man a smiley face, but he didn't allow a smiley life? Park Hyo-shin, a scene from the musical "The Man Who Laughs."

Image

[K-MUSICAL] REVIEW "Attracted to MAMAMOO Solar style" Musical Mata Hari

Image
MAMAMOO Solar's "Dance of the Temple" (Photo courtesy of EMK Musical Company) - A musical in which the main character has to carry a lot of things alone - Attracted voice, clear notes, and fresh acting - This is Solar's style - Young chemistry with Lee Changsub (Armand) of the same age Expectations in the pot boiled over. One of the fun things about watching a performance is the line of expectation. "That's it for today," I'll draw a line in my mind and go to the theater. The audience is satisfied when the performance of the day meets the expectation line. On the other hand, when the performance is wandering under the line, disappointment and anger pour in one after another. The best is a performance that breaks through the line of anticipation. A performance that rises coolly over a horizontal line as if an aircraft with wheels off the runway is soaring. The audience's mind becomes as distant as the back of the plane moving away. The musical M

[K-MUSICAL] Are musical actors the owners of free souls?

People often say that actors are free souls. When you look at actors on stage, actors on Instagram, they look like people with free souls. So people envy the lives of actors. There are people who are married to each other. There are many couples who fell in love with each other while performing the same musical. I know a lot of couples like this. In the case of musicals, they will be performed for a month at least and a year at most. That's enough time for couples to fall in love. I had one question. If a husband of an actor couple wants to go on a trip alone, will the wife allow it? This is because a wife would never allow it if it were a normal couple. But aren't actors the owners of free souls? After a long and difficult performance, actors need to recharge. After the last performance, will her husband be able to go on a trip to recharge himself? What are your thoughts? I have asked this question to many married actors. The conclusion was simple. Absolutely impossible. Hah

[K-MUSICAL] How journalists Get Musical Tickets

Image
The main characters of the musical Jekyll and Hyde. Park Eun-tae, Kai, and Jeon Dong-seok. (OD Musical Company)   Should journalists in charge of musicals buy tickets? That's what a lot of people are curious about. Musical fans are especially curious. Musical tickets are quite expensive in Korea, too. Maybe other countries are no different. In Korea, musical tickets for small theaters are priced at 30,000 won ($24)It's about 50,000 won ($40). The Grand Theater is much more expensive. It ranges from 70,000 won ($56) to 150,000 won ($120). It's not easy to pay $120 for three hours of fun a night. In Korea, there are many enthusiasts who watch a piece several times. These people are called 'revolving door audiences'. For these audiences, the cost of purchasing tickets to watch the performance is a big burden. So what about reporters? Journalists in charge of musicals will watch musicals one to seven times a week. No matter how lazy a journalist is, he should watch one
